Having begun to paint watercolours 15 years ago Joan now paints expressive abstract pictures in multi media that are full of energy and colour. The paint is applied intuitively and subsequently edited to fine tune the composition and design. Textures and shapes taken from nature can be found in her work.

 

Joan is passionate about everyone having some experience of art whether to make it or look at it so enjoys exhibiting her work and is a member of local groups that encourage exploration and enjoyment in our art.
